The Clarksville community is mourning the loss of Lena Orgain. She passed away on April 1, 2026, just days before her 96th birthday. Born in Palmyra, Tennessee, in 1930, she was the youngest of eight children.
Orgain attended a small three-room schoolhouse before graduating from Clarksville High School. During her high school years, she met her husband, Jimmy Orgain. The couple shared a long marriage filled with travel and family memories.
Family and friends fondly remember her incredible hospitality. Orgain loved turning ordinary moments into special occasions. She often prepared home-cooked meals and carefully decorated her home. She wanted every guest to feel welcome.
Beyond her family, Orgain was deeply involved in her community. She actively supported various local organizations. She was also a dedicated member of Madison Street United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading and traveling. However, she always considered Clarksville her true home.
Orgain is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Loved ones will soon gather for funeral services in Clarksville. They will celebrate her long and joyful life.
