Born in Detroit, Michigan, Roger spent much of his life following his deep curiosity and finding immense joy in his memorable passions.
Professionally, Roger worked for many years as a skilled lithographer before eventually retiring from Jostens. Outside of his career, he fully embraced a variety of unique hobbies that reflected his energetic and adventurous personality.
He loved riding motorcycles and took special pride in his ultralight plane, which fascinated many who knew him. He was also known to turn ordinary afternoons into fun occasions by juggling for friends or challenging them to a lively game of ping pong.
Loved ones fondly remember Roger’s playful spirit, which stayed with him throughout his entire life. Even in his later years, he consistently brought smiles to others with his small jokes and captivating stories from his past.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Bobbye Phillips, along with his son, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. His family and friends will forever remember him as a man who lived fully, loved deeply, and never lost his sense of wonder for the world around him.
