The community of Clarksville, Tennessee, is mourning the passing of Ronald “Ronnie” Groce. The 78-year-old Vietnam veteran died on March 25, 2026. Born in Glasgow, Kentucky, on April 24, 1947,
Ronnie was known for his quiet strength and steady nature. Relatives note that his strong sense of duty and his military service deeply shaped his character throughout his life.
Outside of his time serving the country, Ronnie found great joy in life’s simple pleasures. He was an avid fisherman who loved spending early mornings by the water waiting for a catch. He also closely followed NASCAR racing and enjoyed relaxing at home with his beloved dogs by his side.
Above all, his family remained the absolute center of his world. He shared 26 wonderful years of marriage with his wife, Carolyn “Susie” Groce. He was a proud father, grandfather, and brother who consistently offered unwavering support to his loved ones.
To honor his lifelong loyalty and quiet strength, his family will hold a private inurnment in his home state of Kentucky.
