The community of Clarksville, Tennessee, is mourning the loss of 74-year-old Joseph Robert Steinbrunner Jr. The Army veteran, warmly known to his friends as “Joe,” passed away on April 7, 2026.
Steinbrunner spent more than two decades working locally as a dedicated car salesman. Many residents came to know him for his easy smile and his steady handshake. At home, he enjoyed a slower pace of life filled with quiet routines.
He loved mowing the yard, grilling meals, and playing a round of golf when the weather allowed. In his earlier years, he and his wife frequently created lasting memories by going boating and water skiing.
Family always remained his top priority. He shared 44 years of marriage with his wife, Mary. Together, they raised their children and deeply valued their time together. During his final hospital stay, his loyal dog, Pepper Pug, rarely left his side. The dog provided constant comfort when words were no longer needed.
A celebration of life is scheduled for April 13 to honor his legacy.
