The Presidency has fired back at former Kano Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso over his claim that the Tinubu administration is ignoring Northern Nigeria. In a strong response, government officials said the North is actually getting major attention.
From roads and railways to hospitals, farms and housing, over 40 big projects are ongoing across northern states. Minister of Works, David Umahi, said Tinubu is being fair to all parts of Nigeria. He listed key road works like the Abuja-Kaduna-Kano highway and Sokoto-Badagry Expressway.
Housing Minister Ahmed Dangiwa, who inspected estates in Kano, confirmed solid work is happening.
Afenifere also criticised Kwankwaso, saying his statement could spark unnecessary division. The group urged Nigerians to stay focused on facts, not emotions.
