The community is grieving the sudden passing of 34-year-old mother, Shaquell Roberts, who lost her life in a tragic two-vehicle accident on Western Road.
The crash happened on Monday afternoon when Shaquell’s black Honda Accord hit a white Honda Stepwagon that was coming from the opposite direction.
The force of the crash was so much that Shaquell’s car turned upside down. It threw her out of her car halfway, leaving her struggling to stay conscious as emergency responders rushed to her.
Despite all the first responders did, she finally succumbed to her injuries. She was so full of life, which makes her death even more painful.
On Saturday, Shaquell served as an usher at a wedding. She was all smiles as she took pictures with the happy couple.
That moment is a perfect example of who she was: compassionate, gentle, always smiling, and ready to celebrate others.
Those who knew her say she was a doting mother and a calm spirit who brought happiness and comfort everywhere she went.
Friends remember her gentle laugh, loving nature, and her ability to make others feel valued with the easiest conversations.
Her sudden demise has left many shaken and put a deep emptiness in the hearts of family and community.
Grieving loved ones cling to memories of her compassion and how she brightened every room.
Rest in peace, Shaquell.
