The Baylor University community in Waco is in grief over the News Archives – YonneTours passing of Margaret “Maggie” Skinner, a pre-nursing student who spread joy wherever she went.
Maggie passed away on December 19, 2025.

“Maggie was the kind of girl who would stay late in the cafeteria with a classmate who wanted to study, listen attentively to someone who felt overwhelmed, smile, facing a tough class,” said Drake University religious studies department chair and Skinner’s former teacher, Heidi Wendt.

Maggie had dreams of being a nurse because of her burning desire to take care of others.
