Wilson County community is in shock following the News Archives – YonneTours death of Teresa Wilson, mother, nurse, and pillar of the community, who was tragically killed in a car accident during the morning commute.
The accident occurred early Tuesday on Interstate 840. The cars crashed because of the heavy traffic.
First response teams arrived immediately; however, Teresa Wilson was pronounced dead.
Two other victims suffered injuries that required them to be rushed to the hospital. The causes of the accident are still being determined.
Those who knew Teresa Wilson describe her loss in terms that can’t be put into words.
“She had a great personality, a great smile, and a great concern for others,” said one woman who knew Teresa Wilson.
As a nurse, Teresa Wilson spent her years helping others heal.
During her time, she was a Girl Scout leader, and she dedicated her years to directing young girls with a great deal of patience and a great deal of pride.
Her relatives have described her as vibrant, stubborn in the best possible way, and loving.
Her daughter reported that “my mom taught me how to be strong-willed and kind and generous too.
Messages of love and prayers have been flooding in from friends, colleagues, and neighbors.
The highway is now open, although the impact remains very deep.
The legacy of Teresa Wilson still lives through all the people she touched and the love she shared with everyone each day.
