Jack Langerman, a 24-year-old college graduate and former baseball player, died after a tragic accident on January 17, and the town of Middlebury is sad about the loss. Friends and family say Jack was a person who could “light up any room” because of his warmth, humor, and relaxed personality.
Jack was excellent on both the pitch and in the classroom. Teammates remember him as a loyal friend and a fierce competitor, while his professors say he was a curious and kind student. One classmate shared, “He was one of those people who made everyone around him feel better.”
To honor his legacy, the Jack Langerman Community Foundation was created to continue the good work and the passion Jack had for supporting others. Second Wind Brewing Company also released a special beer named Known & Loved to celebrate Jack’s life.
Despite passing too early, Jack’s legacy of generosity and positivity lives on in the lives he touched. Loved ones will always remember his laughter, his love for the people, and the way he was always there for those in need.
