Members of the town, Bloomer, are grieving the tragic loss of a 22-year-old mother and home-health hospice worker, Colby Reischel, who succumbed to her injuries from a car crash on November 21, 2025.
People who loved her say that her beaming smile could light up even the darkest days, and her tender manner of taking care of others makes her unforgettable.
Brinlee, Colby’s daughter, was her pride and joy. They had a solid bond, the kind that even outsiders could testify to. She was a doting mother who found meaning in being a mother to her child.
Known for her compassion, welcoming disposition, and bright nature, she got peace and courage to go through life by her revived faith in God, which was a very important aspect of her life.
Colby is survived by her daughter, her parents Jennifer and Wayne, her siblings, grandparents, and a large extended family and circle of friends who loved her.
A memorial service for Colby will take place on November 29, where the community will come together to pay respects to her memory and surround Brinlee with love — just as her mother would have wanted.
