The town of Greencastle, Pennsylvania, is grieving the loss of Amy Lou Frisby, who passed away at age 58 on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Jefferson Health Abington Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
Amy faced her illness with immense strength, holding tightly to her faith and determined to spend every possible moment with her loved ones. Friends and family remember her compassionate and steady nature, her soft smile, and her ability to love without limits.
A 1985 graduate of James Buchanan High School, Amy was a talented athlete who excelled in basketball and softball. In her everyday life, she found joy in gardening, redecorating her home, and enjoying simple moments like sitting at the kitchen table or watching the sunset from her porch.
She was also a dedicated worker, last serving as a store manager, where she built lasting friendships with her colleagues.
She is survived by her mother, Beverley; her three children, Amanda, Trenton, and Logan; five grandchildren; and her three sisters, Lori, Sue, and Wendy.
The community has flooded online memorials with stories of her kindness, her competitive spirit on the basketball court, and the light she brought to those around her. Her strength and gentle spirit leave a lasting legacy in Greencastle.
