The community is very sad after the death of 34-year-old Shaquell Roberts. She died after a violent two-car crash on Western Road on Monday afternoon.
Police say the crash happened around 2 p.m. when two cars going in opposite directions hit each other with great force. A white Honda Stepwagon was badly crushed in the front, and Shaquell’s black Honda Accord flipped onto its side, showing how strong the impact was.
First responders found Shaquell partly thrown from the car. She was drifting in and out of consciousness while medics tried hard to help her. She was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but she later died.
Police are still trying to find out what caused the crash. People who knew Shaquell say she lit up every room she entered. Her laughter was warm, and her smile made people feel understood and valued. She was known for her kindness, generosity, and her way of lifting others up on their hardest days.
