The community of Williamsville is grieving the sudden passing of local icon, Mark Beard, who died on Thanksgiving to the dismay of family and friends.
Known for his warm smile and affection for others, died at 65 years old. He had a unique ability to make people around him feel comfortable.
Mark has formed several long-lasting friendships. Spanning from when he was a star basketball player at Williamsville High School to his days endorsing local craft fairs along with his wife, Terri.
Friends remember how he was always ready to laugh, renew ties, or tell tales from the past on the basketball court.
He was a pillar of society with his compassion, loyalty, and constant presence. Whether he was showing support for a local game or catching up with residents at a society affair, he brought a sense of ease with him.
His demise has brought on torrents of tributes across social media, with several people referring to him as “a friend to all.”
Beard’s legacy lives on in the lives he imparted.
