It was a night to remember in Abuja as top Nigerian music stars like Teni, Flavour, Timi Dakolo, and rising singer Fido lit up the stage at a grand presidential dinner held in honour of the Super Falcons.
The event took place on Monday, July 28, at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, just hours after the Falcons returned from Morocco as champions of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
The dinner, filled with joy and celebration, saw government officials, entertainers, and fans come together to applaud the Falcons for their hard-fought victory. Notable guests included Hannatu Musawa, Minister of Arts and Culture; Doris Uzoka-Anite, Minister of State for Finance; and Festus Keyamo, Minister of Aviation.
The night’s performances added extra spark to the celebration. Timi Dakolo’s soulful voice moved many in the room, while Flavour’s highlife sound had guests dancing. Teni, full of energy, got the crowd singing along, and Fido’s smooth tunes brought a fresh vibe to the stage.
Also in attendance were comedian Seyi Law and popular football analyst Kelechi Anyikude, both cheering on the Falcons like proud fans.
The dinner wasn’t just a party, it was a celebration of Nigerian pride, womanhood, and excellence. The Super Falcons were honoured not only for winning the trophy but for inspiring a whole nation.
