Middletown, Ohio, mourns the death of 16-year-old Caitlynne Miller, whose life was suddenly cut short in a fatal train accident early Sunday morning on Casper Avenue.
Her passing was declared an accident by the Butler County Coroner’s Office.
Authorities say that Caitlynne and her friends were positioned between two railway lines as a southbound train neared, and in a completely selfless act mirroring her personality, Caitlynne was able to push one of her friends out of harm’s way moments before the collision.
