A honeymoon at the Regis Aruba resort ended in tragedy this week. A newly married couple was found dead at the hotel in Noord, Aruba.
On Sunday afternoon, emergency teams responded to reports of a fall. They found a man who had died after falling from the 12th floor. When police searched the couple’s room, they discovered a woman dead with gunshot wounds.
The couple had arrived in Aruba just days after their wedding. Police believe the two deaths are connected and are investigating the case as a possible murder-suicide. No other injuries were reported at the hotel.
Parts of the resort were temporarily closed while investigators worked at the scene. Names have not been released as police notify their families. The investigation is still ongoing to determine what led to this tragic event.
