May Yul-Edochie, the estranged wife of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, has taken legal action against Yinka Theisen, the ex-fiancée of Yul’s elder brother, Linc Edochie.
In a cease-and-desist notice filed on August 19, 2025, through Gray Law Partners, May accused Theisen of making defamatory, false, and malicious statements about her on social media.
The legal document, signed by Esther Chinaza Fijo, Esq., claims that Theisen’s actions included cyberstalking, gaslighting, and public shaming, causing harm to May’s reputation and personal safety.
May is demanding an immediate retraction of the statements, a public apology across all platforms, and ₦500 million in damages for the emotional and reputational harm inflicted.
This legal move follows months of online tension between the two women.
Theisen previously accused May of orchestrating cyberbullying campaigns against her, a claim that May has strongly denied.
The cease-and-desist notice gives Theisen 48 hours to comply with the demands, warning her of potential civil and criminal litigation if she fails to do so. As of now, Theisen has yet to issue a public response to the lawsuit.
This ongoing dispute has attracted significant public attention, further fueling the drama between the two women amid the Edochie family’s turbulent personal dynamics.
