The loss of the young 24-year-old rapper and music producer, Kiiren Aamer Jackson, whose music touched the souls of those who listened and a member of the Amherst Community has left the Amherst community devastated.
He was quite popular for how he blended hip-hop, soul, and experimental beats. Kiiren’s sound carried truth, emotion, and endless creativity. Friends say Kiiren was more than a producer; he was a storyteller who shared pain and hope with every lyric in his song. “His songs made you feel something, you don’t just listen, you live the song,” One friend shared
Amherst’s creative circle is completely devastated from losing Kiiren. Local artists are currently planning to hold candlelight vigils and a music tribute to come together and celebrate the creative life Kiiren has lived up to now
While the community is still mourning, they are bringing notice and raising awareness to the recent increase in the Opioid crisis, which plagues the community and affects countless young lives. Despite Kiiren’s early passing, his voice and lyrics will continue to echo in the hearts of everyone.
