
The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has announced the appointment of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Benjamin Hundeyin as the new Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO).
This significant announcement was made on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
In his address, IGP Egbetokun emphasized the importance of Hundeyin’s wealth of communication and security experience in strengthening the relationship between the Nigeria Police Force and the public.
He urged Hundeyin to use his skills to enhance public engagement and foster trust in the police.
CSP Hundeyin brings an impressive academic and professional background to the role.
He holds a BA in English Language from Lagos State University, an MSc in Legal Criminology and Security Psychology from the University of Ibadan, and a Certificate in Civil-Military Coordination from the Martin Luther Agwai International Leadership and Peacekeeping Training Centre in Kaduna.
Hundeyin’s career spans several key roles within the police.
He has served as the Police Public Relations Officer at Zone 2 Command Headquarters in Lagos, been part of the Nigerian peacekeeping mission in Darfur, Sudan, and worked as the Police PRO for Lagos State before his new appointment.
