The community of Penn Hills experienced a moment of grief after it heard about the untimely death of Jaiquwan, popularly known as Jay, who died at the age of 14.
He was a student of Imani Christian Academy. He experienced a day that went from normal day-to-day activities to a day that made people feel broken and bitter. He fainted when he was training at the basketball court on a Tuesday afternoon. He dropped dead when the team tried rushing him to an emergency ward.
His companions painted him as someone who could brighten the room, characterized him as someone who had a passion for basketball, cracked jokes, and was hospitable even in tough days.
He was mature in his dealings with people, even though he was just 14 years old. He had a welcoming spirit, wasn’t dull for once.
Friends and residents paid tributes to him by pouring hashtags on all online social networks, and the school supported the students in the community in remembrance of Jay’s death. Information concerning the burial will be shared once it’s available.
