The passing of proud veteran, devoted father and loyal friend, Geno Yerdon, has left all his family, friends and colleagues devastated. He had unexpectedly died in his sleep, leaving a deep void in the hearts of all who were close to him.
Geno served valiantly flying with JSTARS and NATO AWACS, where he gained popularity for his calm demeanour under pressure and his steady presence that helped others. “He was the one you could always count on,” a close friend recalled as they recalled how his laughter and quiet strength always managed to keep the entire team calm and calculated.
Aside from his professional life, Geno took great pride in his children as he often spoke about them with enormous love and detailed how they were his life’s purpose. To his family, he was not just a veteran but a mighty hero at home with how he showed his care for his family.
His legacy lives on in the connections he made, the skies he tore through, and in his family he leaves behind. A tribute beautifully said, “Here’s a toast to the hose of those who truly love the vastness of the skies”
