Nigeria is set to welcome top global gas investors and industry leaders in Lagos this October for the 2025 Gas Investment Forum (GIF).
The two-day event, scheduled for October 7–8 at the Oriental Hotel, will bring together government officials, energy executives, and international stakeholders to discuss new opportunities in the gas sector.
President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Energy, Olu Verheijen, will deliver the keynote address and serve as Chief Host.
The event is endorsed by the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources and co-hosted by the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), highlighting strong government backing.
Confirmed speakers include Ed Ubong, Coordinating Director of the Decade of Gas Secretariat; NJ Ayuk, Executive Chairman of the African Energy Chamber; Akachukwu Nwokedi, President of the Nigeria Gas Association; and several global leaders such as Andrea Stegher, President of the International Gas Union.
With the theme “Charting New Opportunities for Investment, Growth & Industrialisation,” the forum will focus on Nigeria’s gas monetisation agenda, energy security, and industrial growth across West Africa.
Organisers say the event will also feature a trade exhibition where companies can showcase technologies and investment-ready projects, reinforcing Nigeria’s role as a rising hub for gas-driven industrialisation.
