The EFCC has raised alarm over fake airline promo ads tricking Nigerians into losing their money. These scammers offer cheap flight discounts, sometimes as low as ₦500, but it’s just a trap.
Once people pay or download fake apps, the fraudsters steal their bank details and wipe their accounts.
The fraud is mostly run by young people who buy personal info like NIN, BVN, and photos for as little as ₦2,000, then sell them to scammers.
EFCC has arrested some suspects and warned Nigerians not to give out their details for any so-called “promo.”
