The community of Canmore, Alberta, mourns the sudden passing of Nature-loving 37-year-old Andrew Truch, who was discovered dead after an unaccompanied hike.
Truch was a man devoted to his family who went missing the day before he was found dead. He disappeared during a solo hike on the popular Goat Creek Trail.
Rescue teams conducted a thorough investigation that included K-9 units and helicopters. They discovered his body on November 27th,2025, which brought the search to an end.
He was known for his thrill-seeking nature. His death left an emptiness within his family, among his friends, and in his community.
Aileen Truch, his wife, shared the terrible news and gave thanks to everyone who supported her in this dark period.
