It has been six months since Deeanna Erickson was last seen. Her family says the pain of not knowing has grown heavier. Deeanna is 31 years old.
She disappeared on the night of June 6 after getting off a city bus in the Walden area of Calgary. No one has heard from her since then.
Police say security video from that night shows a troubling scene. Deeanna is seen alone near the bus stop. She is crying and swaying as if she was overwhelmed. The area was quiet and dark. That image is now the last known record of her.
Deeanna is described as kind and gentle. She is deeply loved by her family. She is about 5 feet 4 inches tall with long red-brown hair and blue eyes. On the night she vanished, she wore a gray hoodie and beige pants. She also wore black athletic shoes and carried a backpack.
Investigators do not believe she walked away by choice. They say she may have been vulnerable and needed help. Police are asking for help from the public. They want to hear from anyone who rode the Route 162 bus or drove through Walden that night. Please speak up if you noticed something unusual.
Six months later, her family is still waiting for answers. They are holding onto hope that one small detail could finally bring Deeanna home.
