The Lineville community is grieving the loss of Skylar Glenn. She was 27 years old. A car crash took her life on a quiet Sunday morning.
The crash happened around 6:51 a.m. on U.S. Highway 431 near Heflin. Skylar was a passenger in a Honda CR-V. Her car crashed head-on into a Chrysler PT Cruiser.
Sadly, Skylar died at the scene. Police say she was not wearing a seat belt. The driver of the other car was Jerre Dingler. He was 83 years old. He also died at the scene. This is a sad loss for two families.
The driver of the Honda was 29-year-old Destinee Easterwood. She survived the crash but was injured. She was taken to UAB Hospital in Birmingham for help.
Friends remember Skylar as a warm and kind person. She made people feel welcome. Her loved ones are now holding onto happy memories of her life.
