The United States government, through the U.S Mission in Nigeria, has issued a stern warning to Nigerians who are involved in visa fraud.
Per the statement from the Mission, anyone who’s caught using fake documents or assisting illegal immigration will be banned for life from entering the United States.
The Mission made this announcement via their social media account on Monday, the 21st of July, 2025. In the statement released, the Mission stressed that anyone involved in visa fraud, including harboring illegal migrants, would be prosecuted as a criminal.
Explaining that a “nation without borders cannot stand”, the Mission explains that it is on a mission to combat fraud and illegal immigration.
