
In a sad piece of news, we report the death of two teens who tragically lost their lives to an accident in northern Jefferson County, Alabama.
Per reports from local authorities, the crash happened Sunday, the 20th of July, 2025, around 2:58 am on Mt. Olive Road near Partridge Loop.Â
Reports from authorities explain that a pickup truck, which at the time of the crash was carrying about 8 passengers, lost control and struck a utility pole. Two of the victims, male, Treylen Floyd and the other, whose name at the time of writing this article has not yet been published to the public domain by the authorities, were pronounced dead at the scene, aged 18 and 19.Â

Six other victims were hospitalized, including one male and five females, all between the ages of 16 to 19; however, their injuries were deemed to be non-life-threatening.Â
The community no doubt has been in shock since the tragic incident, and many have come out in their numbers to offer prayers to the lost souls and pray for the families of those involved.


A church in the community, HighPoint Community Church, has held a prayer session for the victims, the deceased, and their families. New Bethel Baptist Church has also sent their condolence message to the victims and their families via social media.
Jefferson County’s sheriff’s office is still investigating to find out the cause of the crash.
