The snowboarding sport community mourned when they heard about the sudden loss of Tina Biddle, who was a patrol supervisor at Snowbird Resort in Utah for a long period of time.
She was nicknamed “Ma Biddle.” To people who knew her, she spent years supervising skiers and snowboarders and consistently stepping in during emergencies with a gentle voice and soft touch. Her peers heard that she died not long ago, although information about where and how she passed has not been confirmed publicly.
Her coworkers shared a moment when they saw how she walked the slopes before sunrise, observing the wind direction, snow layers, and avalanche risk. A colleague at work testified to the fact that she always kept a tiny notebook in her pocket, filled with handwritten notes about her team and challenges on the mountain.
The deceased tutored hundreds of patrolleers throughout her career, shaping not just their safety skills but also boosting their confidence. Extrainees testified about how she had a skill to make people in her circle be seen, even on hard days. Numerous people shared memories online and named her a “pillar of strength” and the “heart of the mountain.”
The officials of Snowbird announced that a memorial plan has not yet been shared. Presently, the community honored the deceased by sharing memories of her on how deeply she was loved by the people.
