The town of Brazil, Indiana is very sad after the death of Colten Terril, a 15-year-old baseball player. He died suddenly in an accident on November 23.
Friends say Colten was the kid who always came early to practice, dragging his glove behind him and humming a song in his head. These small memories have left his teammates heartbroken.
Coaches say Colten was not only talented but also joyful. He clapped loudest for others, even when his own game was not strong. He helped younger kids by picking up bats after practice and asking if they wanted help with their swing.
Off the field, Colten was known for his gentle humor and how he remembered little things about people. He knew a classmate’s favorite snack or when a friend had a bad day. Neighbors say he waved at everyone, even from across the street when riding his bike.
His death has brought the whole community together in sadness. Schools, teammates, and families are planning tributes to honor the boy who had so much promise.
Colten Terril leaves behind a town wishing they had more time with him and holding tight to the joy he shared with everyone.
