A normal evening near San Diego State University turned scary when a 26-year-old woman was hit by a car. This happened on December 12 around 5:20 p.m. on Montezuma Road.
The young woman was crossing the busy street when a driver in a Honda Accord struck her. Nearby students heard a loud noise and saw emergency lights quickly arrive. Paramedics rushed the woman to the hospital right away.
She suffered very serious injuries, including a cut on her head and broken bones in her leg and pelvis. Thankfully, she will survive, but her painful recovery will take a long time.
The 28-year-old driver stayed at the scene to help the police. This sad accident is a strong reminder to everyone of how quickly life can change.
