Nollywood actor Bola Ninalowo has found himself at the heart of an alarming impersonation scandal, where a fraudster used his identity to swindle a woman out of a staggering N33 million.
The victim, Victoria Ayano, reported the crime to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), accusing one Bolanle Azeez of pretending to be Ninalowo and tricking her into handing over the large sum of money under false pretenses.
In disbelief, Ninalowo took to Instagram to express his shock. He shared the petition and wrote, “Which kine juju be this naa?”, reacting to the shocking nature of the scam. The actor further revealed that even at the peak of his Nollywood career, he has never received such a massive payment for a single role. “N33,000,000 for wetin? Even Nollywood wey blow me never pay me N33 million per film,” he commented.
This incident is the latest in a series of impersonation cases involving Ninalowo. In 2023, a man was convicted for posing as him, and in March 2025, the actor raised concerns about growing fake accounts in his name on platforms like TikTok.
This ongoing issue highlights the risks celebrities face with impersonation and the vulnerabilities of online users. Fans are urged to stay vigilant to avoid falling victim to such scams.
