The authorities continue and intensify their search for 19 year old Owen Kenney, a College of Charleston student as rescue teams work through the Charleston Harbor.
Official reports say that rescue teams have shifted from Rescue to Recovery mission after new evidence showed Owen walked onto the Ravenel Bridge early on October 31 and never returned.
The Carolina Emergency Response Team spent the whole of Friday combing through the water, urging boaters to remain vigilant and report any findings on their end. The authorities announce that their main aim is to help bring closure to Owen’s family who are trying to hold strong despite the pain they are currently going through.
Owen’s disappearance has left family, loved ones and classmates distraught as many recall that Owen was a kind, thoughtful and full of life and how he was a friend that always made others smile.
The authorities also use this opportunity to remind everyone the importance of mental health and encourage those struggling to reach out for help through the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
