There has been a tragic shooting outside of Gaslight Lounge in downtown Anchorage in the early hours of Sunday, the 20th of July, 2025.
This incident has left one man dead and three others injured. Police reportedly responded to the shooting scene around 2:50 am after they got a call of shots fired on West 4th Avenue, Alaska.
The authorities reported that upon their arrival, they found one victim unconscious and was pronounced dead at the scene, another victim in a critical condition, and one who had no life-threatening injuries.
Authorities have details of the fourth victim stating that he was found with minor injuries. Reports show that the incident happened in a high-traffic area, close to the Anchorage Police Department’s headquarters. Eyewitnesses who captured this tragic scene quickly shared it on social media, causing a media frenzy as the news spread quickly.
Authorities have categorised this as a homicide, and at the time of writing this article, have not apprehended a suspect.
Police have urged anyone with information or surveillance footage to come forward and assist the investigation.
