The community of Waterville experienced a wave of grief when they heard about the passing away of Jeff Wags. He was a coach, an umpire, and a friend to all, and was well-known for his dedication to sports and cherished unity in the team.
Died unexpectedly in 2025, which left the people who knew him heartbroken. The deceased was more than a coach but was also an advisor and a constant source of inspiration to the numerous young athletes at Waterville Community. He related with everyone maturely on the field, especially with teams like WEM and JWP, which made an impact on both the team and the coaches. Jeff was passionate about promoting character and integrity, which shaped the lives of those he trained and taught them the importance of hard work and persistence.
Jeff was honoured as an umpire at the Loyola and other local events and was awarded by players, coaches, and spectators for his fairness and consistent approach. His impact of fairness and commitment to the game will not stop, but will inspire generations to come.
As the community honoured him, the deceased’s family expressed their appreciation for the ir support. A burial service will be publicised to honour his impact on the Waterville sports community.
