The passing of Heather Renee Leach, a 37-year-old woman, has left her community devastated. She was involved in a tragic head-on collision on Highway 42 on Tuesday morning.
She was driving her Chevrolet 1500 eastbound when her truck crossed the center line near milepost 27, crashing into a westbound Ford F-350.
Despite the timely arrival of the emergency unit, Heather was pronounced dead on the scene. The Ford driver was rushed to the hospital with severe injuries. The cause of Heather’s vehicle deviation is still under investigation by the authorities.
