The community of Owego paid tribute to Gail M. Sarrge, who gave up the ghost at her house on December 6, 2025, at the age of 83.
Peers disclosed that she was the type of person who never grabs every moment, particularly when it came to her relatives. Little support, like an afternoon drive or a check-up to her neighbor, felt impactful to her.
Raised in Oneonta, Gail was married to her husband, Thomas Sarrge, for 64 years. Both brought up seven children, and before she left, she was a proud grandmother of 24 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Her relatives claimed that she could remember every birthday, every playground, and every small success, no matter how tough life was. Followers could remember Gail’s best thing, which was gathering everyone for road trips across the United States. She admired the highways, the roadside diners, and the laughter that filled the car.
The affected family testified that these trips are now some of their most treasured memories. An appearance will be held at Richards Funeral Home in Owego on December 15, and after the funeral service in the evening, the burial will take place at Tiago Cemetery.
As people sympathized with the deceased across all social media, many described her as a gentle, steady presence who comforted everyone. The relative established that her impact will live on through the stories shared and the act of kindness she gave so freely.
