The Johns Creek community is mourning the death of Luke Bolton, a 22-year-old graduate of Northview High School. Luke passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2026. He was a student at the University of Tennessee, where he was studying to be a recreational therapist.
Luke was known for his sweet nature, gentle spirit, and a unique ability to make others feel seen and cared for. Friends and family remember him as a gifted listener who treated everyone with grace.
He had a deep passion for helping children with special needs, serving as a counselor at several camps. He also loved Tennessee football, golfing, and his golden retrievers.
His family shared that despite the joy he brought to others, Luke struggled with depression for several years. They hope his story will encourage more openness and support for those facing mental health challenges.
Luke is survived by his parents, David and Michelle, and his three siblings, Brooke, Mac, and Ansley.
A Celebration of Life Mass was held on January 10 at St. Benedict Catholic Church. In his memory, the family has requested that donations be made to the Will to Live foundation to help others struggling with mental illness.
