The passing of Virginia Roberts, more popularly known as Virginia Giuffre, has left the whole world mourning. She was a brave woman who stood up against Jeffrey Epstein and other powerful men who were associated with Jeffrey and his crimes. She was found dead near Perth, Australia, on Thursday. Police authorities say her death appears to be a suicide.
Virginia had recently shared a photo online showing bruises from a bus accident, writing that she “had days to live.” Those around her say she had struggled deeply with the trauma she endured for years as a victim of sex trafficking.
Loved ones describe her as “a light that lifted so many survivors,” adding that she had fought tooth and nail for justice for not just herself but for the thousands who went through what she had gone through.
Virginia’s bravery had helped expose one of the world’s most shocking abuse scandals, involving Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, and even Britain’s Prince Andrew. With her fight, she became a voice for the voiceless.
Friends say her spirit will live on through her children and the many survivors she helped find the strength to keep on fighting.
