The community of Malibu is very sad after a tragic car accident on Wednesday morning. A young driver passed away when their car went off the road and fell into a deep ravine.
Around 7:40 a.m., the driver was traveling in a Tesla on Malibu Canyon Road. Suddenly, the car made a sharp turn, flew into the air, and crashed hard into a dirt wall on the mountainside.
Firefighters and rescue workers rushed to the scene within minutes to help. Sadly, despite their very hard work, the young driver passed away.
Police are still looking into exactly what caused this terrible crash, checking things like speed and road conditions. This winding canyon road is known for being dangerous. Now, a family is left heartbroken over losing a young life much too soon.
