Nollywood actress Dayo Amusa has boldly responded to fresh rumours about her health, after a content creator claimed she was living with HIV.
The story started when Olaoluwa Segun posted a video online, listing Amusa among five actors allegedly battling the virus. Within hours, the clip spread across social media, leaving many fans worried and confused.
Amusa wasted no time in clearing the air. Taking to her Instagram page on Tuesday, she described the allegations as false, wicked, and damaging. To back up her words, she posted a photo of her latest HIV test result, which confirmed she is HIV-negative.
This is not the first time she has spoken about her status. Back in 2019, Amusa had shared her negative result publicly as part of a health campaign, encouraging Nigerians to take HIV testing seriously. She explained that her action then was for awareness, not because she was infected.
Now, with the false claims resurfacing, Amusa says she is ready to take legal action against those behind the rumours. At the same time, she used the moment to remind Nigerians: “It is better to know your status, guide yourself, and save others too.”
Her brave response has drawn praise from fans and fellow actors alike.
