With the unanticipated passing of 49 year old Cobie Lyn Power, a treasured member of the Placentia Community has left everyone mourning.
Cobie was said to have passed on peacefully at home on the 3rd of September surrounded by her ever loving husband and loyal dog, after a tremendous 10 year battle with illness.
She was popular for a whole bunch of things, her kindness, her soothing laughter, her love for baking, her baking skills made her very famous among other even family members as her cookies and cheesecakes were always family favorites which she often shared during Christmas celebrations.
Friends recall how she’d light up every meeting and gathering with her soothing as she enjoys her time with loved ones playing board games or even planning new holiday decorations in advance.
During the time of her treatment, she always had her indomitable spirit. She continued her crafts through her small business Dolly Doodle Designs, and always dreamed of her next trip or Toronto Blue Jays game. One family member said “she lived with illness, not from it”
Those who were close to Cobie say that her best gift was how deeply she was able to love – her family, friends and even down to the smallest things that brought her joy. Her warmth, humor and courage will remain in the hearts of everyone she leaves behind.
