Chinyere Wilfred, a veteran Nollywood actress, has recently shared her opinion on the rising number of broken homes.
In an interview with the Nation, she shared her concern about the vices of broken homes and the challenges of parenting in today’s digital world.
Wilfred, who has been married for 30 years, explains that the traditional values of marriage have been washed of, and the modern instability of homes is a result of the negative influence of social media.

In her interview, she posited, “Back in the day, our parents had boundaries. Today’s marriages seem to fade quickly. People get married, have a party, and before you know it, they’re divorced. Marriage is not just a party dress you wear and throw away.”
She also spoke on parenting and explaining why trust in one’s child is important. She explains that sometimes, ‘we’ parents think we are helping them; however, we are just overprotecting them and stifling them.
