Famous Nigerian comedian, Ali Baba, has reportedly been evicted from his multi-million naira mansion in Victoria Island, Lagos.
The eviction took place on August 15, 2025, following a court order issued by the Federal High Court.
Ali Baba, whose real name is Atunyota Alleluya Akpobome, acquired the property in 2021 for ₦220 million through the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON).
The mansion, located at 324A Akin Ogunlewe Street, is in one of the most prestigious areas of Victoria Island.
However, the property has been the center of a legal battle due to unpaid debts linked to Harold Expansion Industries Nigeria Limited, which AMCON claims is connected to the mansion.
Harold Expansion, on the other hand, disputes the debt claims, insisting that payments had been made and that the property was wrongly sold.
This dispute led to the eviction of Ali Baba, though he and his team have yet to make a public statement about the situation.
The news has left many fans and industry watchers waiting for a response from the veteran comedian, who has been a key figure in shaping Nigeria’s stand-up comedy scene for years.
The story continues to develop as more details emerge.
