Devoted Pastor, Husband and grandfather Alfred Gonzales Espinosa of Dayton, Texas community passed away peacefully on September 2 at the age of 70.
Alfred has lived a life full of faith, service and love. Loved ones say Alfred has never made anyone feel like a stranger despite meeting new faces in church daily. He was also a former elevator mechanic who after decades left the industry to focus on the ministry full time.
He served as a Pastor at Meeker Baptist Church in Beaumont and loved travelling to hear other preachers, always willing to deepen his understanding of the Word.
Home in Dayton, Alfred was always happiest when around his wife, children and grandchildren. He was quite popular for his woodworking projects and for taking long motorcycle rides along the backroads of Texas.
Visitations will be held on Friday evening at the Pace Stancil Funeral Home, with a memorial on Saturday at Kenefick Southern Baptist Church. Those who were close to Alfred know that his faith in the Lord and generosity will remain an inspiration to the coming generation.
