Affordable Places in Lagos You Can Visit for the Weekend
1. Nike Centre for Arts and Culture
This is completely affordable because you don’t have to pay for entry— it’s free. One tip on art most of us do not know about is that you can only enjoy the view when you’re in the right place. Have you ever entered an art gallery or museum and all you can focus on is the not-so-pleasant atmosphere? Nike Art Centre is a place you should visit to experience Nigerian art at its most glorious and welcoming aura.
Tucked away a Lekki, Nike Art Centre is a total gem you should explore, from the ambience to the large collection of Nigerian art, the atmosphere feels so surreal, like you’re in it yourself. You can never experience a dull moment with art at Nike Art Centre. It’s not all about the art, you get to explore different types of textiles Nigeria is blessed with. A whole day isn’t enough to tap its wonders, especially if you’re an art lover, you’re there, and you’re already planning the next trip. Follow through with exhibition sessions and workshops. On some weekends, culture is celebrated; they call it “a cultural day.” Put on your dancing shoes because you’re about to live, love, and dance in the presence of art and culture. You’re allowed to take pictures of yourself and make your weekend memorable.
If you loved your experience enough(I’m sure you will), you can sign up for the Nike Tours, retreat and workshops.

Countless visits to the Lekki Conservation Centre, and I still cannot get over the view. It always sends me to another realm. It houses the longest canopy walk in Africa. The walk is a great experience if you aren’t scared of heights, but if you let go and focus on the lush greenery view right in front of you, that might just be your key to conquer. 4. Rubels and Angels
What attracted me to this restaurant was the name, Rubels and Angels, you just know there’s something divine coming your way, and I was right, it was pure heaven. What was even better was their price list, which was totally pocket-friendly. I experienced a wild menu ride, from our favorite local delicacies to the tantalizing fast food. The atmosphere was welcoming and cozy, and going back home seemed impossible at that moment.
The jollof rice and fried rice were a ten over ten for me. The spicy asun will take you to places you never imagined you would reach(at least in your vivid imagination), it was my first time eating one and I never remained the same— life changing, I tell you. You get to enjoy their savory burger, chapman prawn, and turkey pasta at ‘shikini’. Don’t forget, affordable places are in focus here.
